2023 IEP Parent Survey
Parents of students with a current IEP (Individualized Education Plan) please complete our annual survey, so we may continue to serve all BIA students effectively.
It is the responsibility of BIA Charter School to identify any child who is enrolled who may have a disability, regardless of the severity of the disability. It is also the responsibility of BIA Charter School to evaluate those students to determine if they are eligible for special education or related services under IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).
BIA is committed to identifying children enrolled in our school. However, identifying children before their third birthday in order to provide early intervention services for three- and four-year-olds is the responsibility of the school district that the child resides in. Moreover, the traditional district’s Child Find responsibility extends to all children within their jurisdiction.
If you have questions or concerns regarding your child’s development or eligibility for special education services and would like to have him/her screened, please call Cynthia Bogues for an appointment at (770) 538-1550.
