Adam Caskey (Board Chair)
Adam is a real estate attorney and currently serves as General Counsel for a national real estate acquisition firm. In this role, he manages the company’s national legal team and serves on the company’s committee for new acquisitions and REO management/disposition. Additionally, Adam is a co-founder and chairman of the Brookhaven Bolt, a 501(c)(3) entity that has raised over $300,000.00 for a local elementary school. Adam has been a resident of Brookhaven since 2003 where he resides with his wife, Jill, and their two young children, Carson, a fifth grader and Stella, a second grader at BIA.
Kelly Mandy (Vice President)
Kelly has been teaching science at Marist School for the past sixteen years. She currently teaches 9th grade advanced biology and 11th/12th grade environmental science. She was the head girls’ lacrosse coach for eight years and the assistant girls’ basketball coach for ten. Kelly is one of the moderators for the environmental club and has held this position for the past fourteen years. She has lived in the Atlanta area most of her life attending Marist School for middle and high school. Kelly moved to Athens leaving for four years to attend the University of Georgia where she studied biology and wildlife. In 2011, Kelly earned her Master’s degree in environmental science from Green Mountain College in Vermont. Kelly and her husband have lived in the Chamblee area since they were married in 2008 and have three daughters – a 3rd grader, a 4 year old and an 18 month old.
Allie Jett (Treasurer and Finance Chair)
Allie Jett is the founding partner of Jett Law Group. Originally from Charleston, SC, Allie is a “Double Dawg” having received her Bachelor’s Degrees in Linguistics and Classical Culture and her Law Degree from the University of Georgia.
Allie started her real estate career at age 16 in the Cobb County Deed Records Room when she started running titles for her family’s mortgage business. She continued working in various capacities for that mortgage company until entering law school.
Allie has spent her legal career representing governmental, individual, and corporate clients in a wide range of real estate-related disputes on both the trial and appellate levels as well as general counseling regarding best practices and risk mitigation outside of litigation. She focuses her practice on litigating title to real property and property tax matters. She also frequently acts as a court-appointed Special Master in quiet title proceedings and auditor in a variety of other real estate disputes.
Allie is admitted to the bar in both Georgia and South Carolina and has been named a “Georgia Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine (every year from 2012 to 2018) and a Super Lawyer for every year from 2019-2024.
Walter Bell (Operations Chair)
Walter Bell is the Managing Partner of a Real Estate Investment firm primarily focused on Multi-Family revitalization since 2005. He and his wife, Lydia, own units across Dallas, TX, Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA and other surrounding cities.
Walter graduated from Morehouse College cum laude with a BA in Accounting. He spent 17+ years in Information Technology across multiple industries: Utilities, Airline, Telecommunications, Retail, starting as a consultant with Accenture then transitioning into permanent roles in Fortune 500 companies. The bulk of his career experience (10+ years) was primarily in increasing levels of leadership.
Walter and Lydia have two sons, Kingston Bell and Pierce Bell who attend BIA and have lived in Historic Downtown Norcross since 2013. They attend Victory Church in Norcross where Walter has served on the Security team for 8 years as the Captain and serves with the Money + Work ministry. He is also highly active in his local community.
Veronica Johnson (Academics Committee Chair & Secretary)
Veronica Johnson, an Atlanta native, has two Upper School daughters who have attended BIA since its inception. She is a 2-time graduate of Georgia State University where she earned both her BBA in Computer Information Systems and MS in Health Administration with a concentration in Health Informatics.
Veronica is a Revenue Cycle Sr. Epic Principal Trainer for WellStar with expertise in the principles of adult learning. Her 20 years of experience in Information Technology has been focused on business transformation and process improvement, primarily in the healthcare industry. Prior to WellStar, Veronica worked for various healthcare organizations including Piedmont Healthcare providing systems analysis and design expertise, project management leadership, training and implementation services and Go-Live support for Electronic Health Records systems.
She and her husband Alan Johnson are co-owners of a real estate investment company and have helped their children to become “Kidpreneurs” as published book authors and motivational speakers.
Veronica was active on BIA’s Parent Council during the school’s 1st three years of operation, including serving as the President during the 2018 – 2019 school year.
Michelle Clements
Michelle Clements is the Client Services Director of Digital Displays, a niche outdoor advertising agency. In over 9 years in the outdoor advertising industry, she has worked in various roles that have allowed her to travel throughout the south and midwest, and most recently, relocating to the Atlanta Metro area. As a certified Project Management Professional she has participated in several acquisitions of over 1000+ outdoor advertising assets. Additionally, Michelle was the Founder of The Atypical Co. which was focused on creating sustainable and fashionable products from repurposed materials in an effort to reduce environmental waste, as well as providing employment opportunities to survivors of domestic violence.
Michelle is an avid lover of soccer, and has coached in various youth programs over the last 6 years. Her son, Ty Clements, has attended BIA since Fall 2022.
